Centinel Bank is featuring an expansive collection of works of NM Visions by Kathryn A. Hayden for July.
The show will include over 20 pieces from her “Enchanted New Mexico” landscape series to her “Taos Quirky”, “Wild”, and “Faith” series.
Kathryn describes her fine art photography style as photo artistry. She builds dramatic and thoughtful scenes by combining her images with texture, brush stroke and selective lighting to evoke emotional connection and response.
“I hear stories when I view a scene, and my goal when I capture and process these images is to relate these stories,” says Kathryn. “My hope is that as people view my images and the stories they tell that it enhances a connection — to the land, its inhabitants and places that we all share as brief residents of this special planet, particularly the special places and scenes to be found in Northern New Mexico.”
Kathryn will also include a small section of portraits of Taoseños from Chick with Clicks, her studio, event, lifestyle, and on location photography business.
Currently, Kathryn is one of the featured fine art photographers at Amore Gallery. Her images have been shown in both juried and non-juried shows including: Taos Art Museum at the Fechin; New Mexico Art League; Harwood Museum; Millicent Rogers Museum; Wilder Nightingale Fine Art; Taos Fall Arts Festival; Taos Studio Tour; Taos Ski Valley Arts Festival; Alumbra de Questa and more. Kathryn's photo artistry is also shown in various locations throughout the northern New Mexico region and in private collections, throughout the US and beyond.
She contributes to the arts in the Taos region as Board member for both the Taos Gallery Association and Taos Fall Arts, is a member of the Taos Artist Organization, secretary for the Taos Marketing Committee, and provides works to events that raise funds for the community.
Chick with Clicks is Kathryn’s photography studio which specializes in capturing images that portray individual personality in studio and on location portraits and head shots; and connection and interaction for group and family photos, events and special milestones, adventure outings, and lifestyle (“day in the life”) photography.
